As a center for tourism, business and transportation, thousands of guests spend their nights in lodging establishments throughout St. Charles County every day. These establishments are regulated and routinely inspected through a joint partnership between the Division of Environmental Health and Protection and the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services. These inspections ensure that businesses provide safe and sanitary conditions for their guests.
Lodging establishment regulations define those requiring regulation to include any building, group of buildings, structure, facility, place or places of business where 5 or more guest rooms are provided for hire by either transient guests, permanent guests, or for both transient and permanent guests.
A two-year lodging license will be issued by the Division of Environmental Health and Protection upon the receipt of the appropriate application and fees.
