Flood-Related Alerts, Road and Other Closures

VOLUNTARY EVACUATION NOTICE: City of West Alton and Rivers Pointe Fire Protection District officials have issued a Voluntary Evacuation Order effective immediately Saturday, May 25, 2019, due to the current Mississippi River crest projection at Mel Price of 36 feet. All work and protective measures that have been completed cannot hold back the projected amount of water as the river rises to this crest. There are already limited access and egress routes within town and the levee system is weak and saturated.
